Taos Goji Ecolodge, is an historic property with ten renovated cabins and a 4-acre goji berry farm located on 40 acres of pristine land in San Cristobal, New Mexico. The cabins were built at the beginning of last century, originally for sheep herders. Both Alduous Huxley and D.H. Lawrence lived and wrote in this cabins, and later Elizabeth Kubler Ross and Ram Dass stayed here.

Frieda Lawrence Eco-Cabin
We had such a good time here. Our room was perfect for what we needed and we went and used the grill near the chickens for a couple of nights too. Walking the 40 acres was a great time with our dog. Such a convenient location as well. Thank you for the hospitality!

Site 2 - Taos Goji Farm Campsites
Such a gorgeous and thoughtful space. So many amazing eco-friendly touches and free eggs from the onsite chickens! The bathroom and shower were super clean and quite stylish too! The tent area got flooded from all the rain but since I’m a car camper, Eric walked me down to a convenient spot to park overnight near an apple tree. He pointed out a grill and outhouse between the two teepees I was able to use (it’s a bit of a walk to the main bathroom/showers at the entrance). It was a beautiful and peaceful stay and would definitely stay again should I find myself in Taos again! Oh just FYI there’s no service or WiFi out there so be sure you have their directions (maps, etc doesn’t navigate correctly). Dirt road, just go slow and you’ll be fine :-)

Tewa Glamping Tipi
Beautiful private farm with tipis!
What an amazing place! We live in the Taos area and love to go to rustic camping sites all over New Mexico. This one is truly unique. There are cabins that were built in the late 1800s/early 1900s. DH Lawrence and Aldous Huxley both spent significant time in those cabins, sometimes simultaneously. There is also a working farm with llamas and chickens. It has a large barn in the center of the property, then an artists retreat more modern cabin towards the back of the property along with two 20 foot tall canvas tipis. We stayed in one of the tipis and it was such a wonderful experience. There is a queen sized bed, chairs, an end table, and extra blankets. It was a freezing cold night and with the extra blankets we were toasty warm in the bed. The host lives in the front of the property and they gave us some farm fresh eggs as we were leaving. If you like a raw style of glamping this place is extremely cool with lots of history and charm.

Site 2 - Taos Goji Farm Campsites
What great stay on a beautiful property! Pitched a tent for 2 days on camp site #2. All accommodations you would need. Showers and bathrooms not a far walk from the site. There is an even closer outhouse if needed. There is a hot tub that would be great after a long day of hiking or traveling. Be willing to help out the farm crew and you might just get rewarded with some fresh eggs! All in all a great stay run by great people.

O’Keefe Historic Farm & Eco Cabin
Not a helpful host
Was overcharged for a one night stay in a dingy cabin named after a charming artist, with none of that artists work. Rates for these cabins were 89/night per the host and per airbnb. I booked on hipcamp bc my airbnb app wasn't working. The hipcamp price was 120/night. I addressed this with the host and they confirmed the nightly rate was actually 89, though I was charged the 120. After a conversation with the host I booked in good faith, figuring we would work something out later when the host wasn't too busy to talk, as he was giving a tour for an upcoming wedding. The next day, I asked the host to remedy the situation but they claimed it was out of their hands and said "I don't know what hipcamp charges". I involved hipcamp and they said, this is not true, the host knows the cost breakdown, the nightly charge is currently 120 and its up to him to provide a partial refund. He never did. Hipcamp couldn't help. This place is absolutely not worth what I paid for in nightly rate, taxes and inflated cleaning costs. The host seems to be incompetent in managing his property on these platforms and claims ignorance if something goes wrong. The farm was pretty. The rooms were not worth the asking price. Won't be back.

O’Keefe Historic Farm & Eco Cabin
Rustic Farm camp
We visited in July. We were pleased to see the cabin had air conditioning, as it was near 100 degrees. The bed was very comfortable. The area was pleasantly quiet. If you like animals there are chickens, alpacas, a goat and 40 acres to roam on. There are a few hot tubs of differing styles. Wi-Fi was stable. The overall camp was weary and needs some love and elbow grease. Lots of potential. It has rustic farm atmosphere. The owners were interesting with a rich history. It was not as clean as expected.
